Nico Montag

Nico was first elected to the executive board on July 23rd, 2025. He works for the Minnesota Department of Revenue as a Revenue Examiner and has been with the State of Minnesota since October 9th, 2024. 

Nico joined the union due to understanding the impact that unions have on the workplace and wanted to be a part of the union to make an impact on the workplace for the better. He joined just before Return to Office was announced on March 25th, 2025, and became a steward shortly after. This was the initial work he engaged with as it was the largest topic at the time.

Nico enjoys backpacking, particularity in the mountains, as well as hiking, camping, genealogy, photography, and videogames.
